**** 2 Mental Health Therapist Job Openings in Greensboro as of May 2026 ****
Rooted in Supervision and Training
We founded Shade Tree Counseling with associates and recent graduates in mind. We love teaching and guiding therapists who find joy and satisfaction in the work and who are eager to continue learning and growing. It is what motivated us to start Shade Tree, rather than just maintain our individual private practices. We are a launchpad for post-graduate therapists to feel supported, challenged, and encouraged in the early stages of their career.
Degree in hand, you’ve learned a lot, gained direct clinical experience, and know you want to work in private practice. You now need supervised hours and income, but you likely want more in this first post-graduate step.
There are many ways to get what an LCMHCA needs, we are a place to get what you want:
- Weekly training to deepen your existing skills and broaden your exposure to clinical issues and modalities
- Guidance in meeting Board requirements
- Mentorship as you become your own professional and grow in your vocation
- Relationships with supervisors you trust and who trust your journey
- Administrative support for simple scheduling, billing and note writing
- Support in crisis situations and de-briefing hard clinical moments
- Opportunities to pursue current professional passions and explore new ones
We know that there are many employment options available that provide the opportunity for hours, supervision, and income. We hope that you will consider applying to our unique LCMHCA program, with its built-in training, supervision, administrative support, competitive pay, and generally kind and supportive environment. Should you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact us.
If you know you’re ready to step into our supportive environment, please apply below. Let us be the right kind of shady place to start your career!
Sincerely,
Jonathan and Michael
